On the evening of April 24, 2022, the Claimant was traveling as a restrained driver of his 2020 Kia Forte. The Claimant was traveling on Sheldon Street in Los Angeles as he made his way towards a Subway. As he entered the intersection of Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Sheldon Street, an uninsured motorist made an unsafe left turn and forcefully collided with his vehicle. At the time of the impact, the Claimant hit the left side of his head on the driver’s side window of his Kia.
In response to a pre-litigation (before filing) demand, the carrier offered $55,000.00 to resolve the matter. A demand for arbitration was sent on September 20, 2022. The arbitration (end date for the case) was set for June 21, 2023, and June 22, 2023. We protected our client throughout litigation and the matter resolved on April 20, 2023.
