On April 20, 2024, our client was driving her vehicle in Burbank, California when she was rear-ended by a driver who attempted to flee the scene of the collision. Shockingly, following an investigation of the responsible driver, the investigating officer noted “[t]he male then stated he was not a fluent English speaker and then pretended as if the call was getting disconnected before hanging up the phone. It should be noted prior to explaining the reason for the call, the male was speaking English fluently and understood what was being explained.” Even though the responsible driver was located, our client did not press charges despite being injured in the collision.
Our client was evaluated at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital following the collision. Following the collision, she was treated for her orthopedic injuries following the collision with local chiropractors. Over time she amassed approximately $21,000.00 in medical bills. We are pleased to report that we were able to secure a recovery of $100,000.00 (over four times the amount of her medical bills!) from the responsible party’s insurance carrier. We also secured an additional $5,000.00 (medical payment coverage) from our client’s own insurer. Our client walked away fully recovered from their injuries and was very pleased with the quick handling of their personal injury claims.
